THE ICONIC CHATHAM FISH PIER

The Chatham Fish Pier Market was founded over half a century ago by Willard Nickerson, also known as “The Codfather.” In the 1950’s, it was called Nickerson’s Fish and Lobster in the small building next to the Fish Pier. For decades, visitors and locals alike have iconic fresh shellfish, lobsters, and local fish bought straight off the boats docked nearby.

Steve Gennodie, a Danvers resident who owns a home in Chatham, has operated the Rocky Neck Fish Company since 2004. Along with the processing facility in Boston, RNF runs retail fish markets in Hingham, Milton and Hanover.
